Argan Timgharine is a women-led argan cooperative based at Centre Ourti Oufla in the commune of Sidi Ahmed, in Essaouira province — the argan country that stretches inland from the Imsouane coast. Founded in 2019, its small team works on the transformation and valorisation of products from the argan tree, preparing culinary and cosmetic argan oil and its by-products in the traditional way.
Since starting out, the cooperative has steadily improved its equipment, secured its own premises and built up its commercial reach — earning ONSSA approval, the IGP protected-origin label and an export certificate along the way. A small but determined operation keeping a Berber women’s craft alive and providing local income.
To transform and add value to products of the argan tree, sustaining a traditional Berber women's craft and providing stable local livelihoods.
